I have been sick for the better part of two months.  I won’t gross you out with the details but it has to do with female reproductive internal organs not acting the way they are supposed to act and causing problems with my digestive system, namely Collin, The Colon. I can’t leave my house for more than half an hour for fear of not having a bathroom handy when I need it  and I can’t sit for more than 20 minutes without my back hurting!

So, in all this “home” time, I have had lots of free time to stare at the walls surrounding me and making a list of projects to be completed.  I added a new page called “Procrastination List.”  Original, I know.  I know! But alas, begrudging work does not inspire creativity… well, not for me anyway.  The List is massive. Daunting. Scary. Even!  Since I can’t sit very long because of Collin, I am piddling around the house a lot more and getting stuff done.  Mostly cleaning, but I am starting on this massive list.

I thought I’d start with a fun project first.  Simple, easy and instant gratification.

Touch up the paint on my white cabinets in the kitchen.  Over the years, the edges have become a little worn through use.  See the before & after of the cabinets I painted when we first moved into this home 9 years ago.

I wanted to glaze them 9 years ago, but just ran out of time with work, kids, sports, school , etc.  Now I have the time…  This is how I would like them to look…

I keep going back forth. To glaze or not to glaze.  Will it look dirty?  Will it drive me crazy seeing the glaze in the corners from the living room and thinking “DIRT!” ??  I don’t know.  This is the main reason I haven’t glazed my cabinets in the 9 years we have lived here.  I am just not sure. Not Sure.  But they are getting a fresh coat of paint.  That’s for Sure!

I seriously need to update the paint scheme and lighting in kitchen, too!
