Tanner has grown 4 inches in the last year. He’s now 5’4″ and only 13 years old. That means he has no clothes that fit this spring. So, I HAD to go to the thrift store. I did score 3 pairs of cargo shorts, long ones because he doesn’t like his ‘thighs’ showing, for $3.43 each pair. They didn’t have any decent polo shirts he would wear, so I will have to go again. Rats! 😉 Anyway, while I was there, I also found a few items for my house or maybe for a mom, mother-in-law, sister-in-law or sister’s house.
These are a cute set of Japanese prints that might look good in Heidi’s guest bedroom. Yes? No? Japanese prints probably aren’t your style, though. Mom, Suzy??? Maybe Carrie or Maranda might like them? I don’t know. They were $1.41 each but yesterday was 1/2 price on home goods, so I got them both for $1.41.
Sage & Oregano, anyone? 88cents for the set. Sweet!
Floating Shelves $2.92 for the set. They would look really cute painted a chocolate brown color… Heidi…. ??
Heidi, you asked for a topiary…. I found this one. What do you think? You can change the colors of the flowers or paint the pot a different color. I like it the way it is, but that’s my tastes. 1/2 price too! Man, I love the thrift store on Wednesdays!
Here’s the gingham curtain I was telling you about on the phone the other night.
OR… I found these stripe panels at the thrift store yesterday. They are too long for what you need, but I can fix that. What do you think? Colors are beige and burgundy. (the lighting is different on these… they were on the kitchen counter instead of hanging in the bath.)
Ok, I have to get back to work. Today is my day off and I need to clean my house. Everybody, let me know what you want…
P.S. I have noticed people are starting to clean out their garages and basements
here because the weather has been so nice. I think I am going to have to start going to the thrift stores every other day!
